Ordained Pastor and Case Worker for Allegheny County Assistance Office, Alumni of North Carolina A &T State University and Payne Theological Seminary; A Major of the United States Army passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018 at the age of 65 in Pittsburgh, PA formerly of Hamlet, North Carolina. Husband of Kathleen A. Bethea; Father of Dr. Kathryn A. Bethea and Lauren A. Bethea; Grandfather of Anise Lorraine Bethea; Son of the late Rev. George and Mary Bethea; Brother of Joe Bethea (Chris)of NC, Lottie Powell of MD, Charles Bethea of NC, Margaret Dixon (Ronnie)of DC, Bessie Wiley of MD, Minnie Harris of GA, Alice Gordon (Oliver) of MD, Ruth Hart of NC, Maggie Bethea of NC and the late Albert Bethea, Georgia Mae Colbert and Jesse Bethea; Brother-in-law of Barbara and Robert Keith of NC; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co- workers and friends. Memorial Celebration of Life Visitation on Friday, July 6, from 5- 7 p.m. at the Park Place A.M.E. Church 215 East 10th Ave. Homestead, PA 15120.
